◊2nd Australia v New Zealand Trans Tasman Challenge Cup

31st October to 3rd November 2009

This is the rematch; the Kiwi POPS thumped the Aussies at the 1st Trans Tasman Challenge Cup at Matamata NZ in May 2007

and they have to bring the trophy to Oz - don't let them take it back!

Competition events include 8 way speed, 4 ways, 2 way CRW and/or speed CRW, Precision Accuracy, Sport Accuracy, and Hit n Rock.

Social activities include Talent Show and Medals and Awards BBQ.

G'day all Aussie POPS

The website for the 2010 World POPS Meet & Championships is now available! Check it out at www.pops2010.it .

I have made enquiries about a possible group accommodation booking for the Australian contingent in nearby hotels. Let me know please if you are:

Going and interested in group accommodation.
Going but will make own arrangements for accommodation.
Definitely not going.
Undecided.

Other than what is on the website there are no other details at this time.

Although the event isn't until June next year, it will come soon enough, so need to start planning now. I would appreciate you letting me know as above please.

◊2009 Australian National Skydiving Championships - Style & Accuracy (including Sport Accuracy)
Date: 7-10 March
Location: Morwell, Victoria

Events: Nationals Accuracy 10 Rounds, Team Accuracy 8 Rounds, Style 4 Rounds, Sport Accuracy (as per POPS Australia rules)

Training: Midweek Monday 2nd March to Friday 6th March 2009

Competition: To encourage participation in the Precision Accuracy Competition. To encourage novice & other competitors, with unsuitable Precision Accuracy canopies to participate in Sport Accuracy. This competition is held on flat ground and there are no entry gates involved. It requires you to fly accurately and land standing up in the centre of a target area. We would encourage as many competitors in this event as possible.
